Practical English Teaching (1) We are implementing programs such as the International Student Buddy Program, expanding our foreign teacher program, and piloting bilingual education (Category B) schools. Starting from the 2021 academic year, these initiatives will connect us with other countries through various channels. By integrating these elements into our school curriculum, we aim to make learning more global and without borders. (2) Organize English storytelling competitions, English group singing contests, and junior tour guide training to improve English skills. Hold English challenge activities and English summer camps to enhance practical use of English. (3) Set up an English immersion classroom to create a real-life English learning environment.
Creating a Reading-Friendly School (1)A dedicated reading instructor is responsible for planning reading strategies. Through "Reading Guidance" classes, they aim to strengthen reading comprehension training and improve overall reading skills. (2) The library is becoming more like a bookstore, with a rich collection of books. It also invites well-known persons to give talks, such as former Ambassador to France Lui Ching-lung sharing interesting diplomatic stories, Ms. Chen Yi-Jun, a gold medalist in taekwondo who is hearing-impaired, talking about "Kicking for Life's Honor," and Holiyo's escape room challenge. These activities aim to bring children closer to reading and to foster a love for it.
Fun and Engaging Science and Math Activities (1) We organize science exploration camps that include activities like math magic tricks, bio-inspired robots, SCRATCH programming, mbot robots, LEGO robots, and liquid nitrogen demonstrations. These diverse and interactive courses aim to spark students' interest in science, stimulate their minds, and develop their logical reasoning skills and creativity. (2) We are organizing a Math Exploration Camp that includes activities like calendar puzzles, Ubongo, Soma cubes, and parallel star darts. These hands-on activities help participants understand and develop various math skills. (3) Take students out of the classroom to the Nanying Science Center for hands-on experience with science and astronomy.
Appreciating Art and Culture (1) Enhance the overall artistic and cultural atmosphere by organizing the "Quanta Arts on Tour" exhibition. This event aims to train students in art interpretation skills and broaden the perspectives of both teachers and students in appreciating international artworks. (2) Provide a platform for students to showcase their talents by organizing cultural and artistic exchange performances. For example, the Taichung Anhe Junior High School Wind Band and the Hong Kong Wind Band have come to our school for exchange performances.
